I was sitting thinking about when I was first introduced to the game. I can remember standing on a milk crate shooting pool with people much older than myself. I will never forget the smell of a Dutch Master cigar. Meanwhile, there was what I would deem now as a lot of action in the backroom of the pool hall.  I will also never forget the down trodden look on the mayor's face walking out of the door that the kids were not aloud to enter. I can only assume now that he was felted. Oh Tommy T-Bones pool hall, innocence lost. It was several years later that I learned, I was maybe ten at the time, that they were playing poker in the forbidden back room. I am so grateful that my father for introducing  me to the game of pool, which in turn peaked my curiosity about the backroom. I started playing with my older brother and his friends at the ripe old age of eleven. We played nickle ante, dealers choice. We'd play baseball, five card draw, and games of this nature. We played pretty regular for the next few years. And then, being male, I was introduced to girls (hehe). I stepped away from the game, but not before winning alot of paper route money. Enough rambling, I started playing hold 'em some ten years later and haven't really looked back. I've only been playing on-line for about a year, thanks to my "mother" who introduced me to FT.

I am back and boy am I tired! We did have a lot of fun and get some work done too! hehe

       I have been reading a spirited little debate between some fine upstanding folks about evolution vs creationism. I personally don't have an opinion on the matter and quite honestly could give two steaming piles of  fecal matter  about yours. 

      I'm not big on religion as I agree with the few that it truly is the opiate of the masses, but if I have to pick one then I think I'll jump on board with the reincarnation kids. Not so much for the thrill of doing all this again, but for just the chance that I may come back as a personal massager. 

     Battery powered or electric really wouldn't matter to me. Just as long as I wasn't sold in San Fransisco.

 

 

    

    The Beginning of It All.................

          Some of you may know me by now and then some of you don't. Of the some that do many wish they didn't, but there are a few nuts that want more. I have decided to give the blog a go before I delve into the technical world and try something like the Twitter. 

           Introduction or for some the re-introduction:

       In the grand scheme of things I'm just another blip on humanities radar screen. I have played online poker for close to 7 yrs now. I have been playing live poker for better than twice as long. As far as accomplishments in that I have so little to speak of out of necessity (sorry tax man) or public knowledge to be offering advice to anyone seeking the next big thing in the game. I will however share some experiences if asked.  I've won and lost so I'm no better than you and probably worse.

     I'm an intimidating 5 ft nothing tall and honestly repel more people than an extreme make over could even help to attract. Don't get me wrong. I'm not self-loathing, but I am self aware. I am not a pretty man.

    I have a big mouth and lack social graces. It does tend to offend some and entertain others. I say some pretty dumbassed things so be warned all future entries will be a lil bit nuts. I don't want to waste too much more of your time on this because I'm ready to start my "what-the-hell-is-wrong-with-me" entries. 

    I will apologize now for any one that is offended or finds fault with my blog entries, but not in the future as you were warned.

 

Reading this blog or anything I may say in chatrooms, forum posts, or walls can not be taken seriously and could cause brain damage!!!!!!!!!

 

I found myself trying to play in the Nordica free roll (nice site by the way) on Tuesday...and trying to run a live show at the same time.  I think I was the 3rd person out!  Thanks for the education Mrsevilclown!  The way she took my stack was craftwork.

From now on Ace will run the equipment while I focus on the poker game!   LOL

Focus, focus, focus it your a newbie and want to get good at this game :-)

Today's appointment went perfect!! First, we got to hear the baby's heart beat for the first time and it had to be the most amazing feeling I've ever felt ~ it was everything I could do to not cry!! Before today, I was almost afraid that it wasn't real or that there really wasn't a baby inside me...Hearing the heartbeat gave me feelings I've never felt before & made everything feel incredibly real...I don't even know how else to describe it...
And it got even better! Next was the ultrasound (where I may have let a couple little tears out)...How unreal!! We got to see our baby & everything was so perfect...Her/his head was just right (so, I'm officially 17 weeks, 3 days & the due date is still around October 5th) & everything else looked perfect too!! We got to see the little ears, facial profile, & ribs...Wow ~ how incredible!!! lol, Chris & the doctor also concluded that the baby looks just like me...
The best news of all was when we went over all my bloodwork from last week ~ the results of the Quad Test were negative, so we don't have to worry about Down Syndrome or any neural tube defects. I don't even remember going to the lab afterwards for my bloodwork for the Cystic Fybrosis test. I think I floated out of the doctor's office!! :-)
So, I posted some new pics (including the ultrasound pics.) and they're doing a more thorough ultrasound in 2 weeks & we should be able to tell if it's a boy or a girl ~ yay!! Well, that's enough for now, but I definitely can't wait for the next appointment!!!!!

On the felt both on and off line I seem to be going through a rough time. I understand that people go through what I am going through right now, but I dont understand 1. how to make it stop and get back on the right track. 2. get people to stop looking at me like im a fish and see me as someone who is going through the bad beat time. and last but not least 3. I keep thinking to my self maybe I should just stop playing altogether and move on. I really love playing poker but im not sure that i can handle the ups and downs of playing. so i post this blog mainly to ask the question Why does this happen? when I know that im not the greatest player not by a long shoy but I feel that im not the worst player either.
