Beware who you accept sidebets from on FullTilt. I made a sidebet tonight in a SNG, and the other guy didn't pay. The funny thing is DamonHarris actually questioned whether I'd pay if I lost....at least until Pro Marco Liesy vouched for me....... then HE welshed on the debt. So if you happen to run across him, ask him if he's got the Tukfards $100 yet Hopefully Karma comes around full circle on him.

The Snake

 

First off I would like to thank all the rounders that railed me last night on the game.

 Saturday, and Sunday this week I have played and cashed in this game (I will have screenshots

up in my profile) I made a pretty decent cash on saturday, and a even deeper run on sunday

 

Sitting with 450k in chips, I took some really bad flops last night. 

 QQ - ace on the flop. 

1010 - ace on the flop. 

KK lost to QQ all in preflop.

I still managed to cash in the top 100, but dissapointed I could'nt get some luck there at the end. 

I am gonna try to Hat Trick the game tonight.

 Pokerstars 40k guaranteed stars at 8pm.

Pokerstars threw an awesome party to go along with the media last nite. All the Team Pros,Fox Sports, ESPN and of course the POKERSTARs Folks. It was great. Afterwards Dennis Phillips took the team out to dinner. It was awesome too, got a 1/2 Ribeye steak that was about a pound that fell apart as you put the k nife to it for about $6.00 US. If any of get the opportunity you ought to take it.

The day started about 11am with more interviews and marketing stuff. We actually started to play about Noon today. Tables were set up as 6 tables of SNG with points awarded for the finishing position. Our captain went out at the 3rd blind levelAK vs A5 against a Chilean player,who caught a 5 on the river.I was at table three with the Brazilian captain/pro, a top Canadian,a very good Argentian,Mexician and Costa Rician.Things went well for me till after the second break we still had 8 players at our table...boy play was tight.. after the break the chilean player pushed allin as the short stack. I felt he was push because he was short stacked which was true,,I had KQsuited and Called him I had the larger stack and could survive if he had a hand. Well he had AQ to my KQ Flop comes Q,10,8 OK we have a race..turn 10 river A.

That call cost me half my chips and left me short stacked with 600 blinds and 75 antes. It didn't get much better. The blinds climbed to 1000 with 100 antes I was in the biglind and pushed 1 caller from Costa Rica. I Doubled up but was still in trouble. A short whille later , Ihave 2200 left Get Pkt 4"s and push UTG allin 2 callers K10 and pk A's. Flop comes K,5,6 oK more outs. Turn 7 pr of 4"s and opened straight draw.. well it was not to be rivers a 10. I'm out with 2pts. The Team continued to fight hard we had 1 table that did not lose a single player for over 5hr just to give you an idea of the Caliber of play here. We fought valiantly but in the end we place 6th for the day./ Tournment over for TEAM USA..

The tournament continues tomorrow for Canada, Brazil, Argentina and Costa Rica. The Canadian Team is very strong and we will be there to cheer them on.

I had posted my many email exchanges between myself and Ultimate Bet when I first realized that UB and taken away what used to be non-expiring Bonus Dollars.  After realizing nothing was going to come from it, I deleted that blog entry.

I did not play one second of ring games on UB last month.  FTP offered $100 Bonus dollars to convert in 30 days.  So, I spent all of last month multi-tabling FTP.  I went from a BR of $67 to $200 last month on FTP.  Because of this I received an email from UB saying I have had my Raise Status demoted. 

I engaged in another back and forth email session with Ultimate Bet concerning the bonus dollars and compared what they had done and what other sites were doing for their customers.  I was getting all of the same run around when I received this unexpected response:

Note that in accordance to our terms and conditions, promotions are subject to changes. Therefore, the new terms will apply to all the players equally.

We understand your concern, and we are willing to make a one time exception and give you 50% of the expired Bonus Dollars. You have been credited with $40.50 Bonus Dollars to release.

Thanks UB--especially Carolina!  I'm not so sure this was so much about the Bonus Dollars as it was about customer service and doing the right thing.  Maybe UB will be my site of choice in the future again.   But this is a step inthe right direction!

Okay I couldn't leave it alone. I went back through all of my UB emails on this topic and looked at all of the links that they kept sending me while they told me that bonus dollars expired was all in the terms of service.

Well I found nowhere in any of the UB links that said that Bonus Dollars ever expire. What I found was only in the emails that were sent. And, in July I was told they expire in 90 days. In September they said 60 days.

I've sent this follow-up question:

"Can you send me the terms and conditions link that states that Bonus Dollars expire and after how long?"

I'll post the link that they send when I get a response.
