More fuel to add to the fire for all the paranoid people out there that think people can see their cards. It actually was possible in this case, but only because employee's of the previous owner of the site were able to do so through use of software that only they had access to. Just like the previous problem, at Absolute, it was from ex employees that had access to software that a normal person never would.
So it is theoretically possible for this to happen, but you will not find a lot of people doing it, simply because they don't have access to the software. More importantly, when the company finds out, they do whatever they can to plug the leak because otherwise the company will go under from lack of faith of the players.
Of course, it's a major problem that this was possible at all. I always hope that the biggest sites are the safest & 2 of the largest have had issues with this. So far, I don't recall ever hearing of a problem like this from Pokerstars? Pretty sure there haven't been security issues ever from Bodog or
Poker.com/Carbon? I'm sure that Ultimate & Absolute will lose customers over this and the others will possibly gain some.
