I play some small MTT and double-or-nothing SnG PLO on Hero/Merge. I'm not great at PLO, but I find that many in the low stakes are... a bit challenged.
In the third round of a 10-seat DoN, I've only played a few hands - limped into a couple family pots and potted one hand that was promptly folded to me. This table is fairly tame. I have only played with two on my table, but neither factor in the following. Starting stack was 1500. My stack (1360) is 7th out of 9 remaining. Blinds are 75/150 ante 10. I have :Ah :Ad :Kd :Th in the small blind. Flops comes out :9d :6h :4s . I check Okay, not my night! Fair enough, but I regret the earlier play. By potting pre-flop with so little behind, one would tend to be committed to following through on the flop. But due to the pot limit and the villain merely calling, I got to make a second decision. (And I went a bit Hellmuthian.) If I can chicken out on the flop, should I bother potting with half my stack pre-flop? I got half in good pre-flop. What is that... half good? smithbk (long-time listener, first-time... questioner?) I'll be away for a while, but I will eventually hear any response, assuming you HAVE another show and remember to put it on itumes. |
